About Research Magazine Online

UA's Office of University Relations launched a yearly magazine in 1997 to highlight research at The University of Alabama. The magazine debuted on the Web beginning with the 2001 issue.

The Web issues for 2001, 2002 and 2003 are online versions of the printed magazines. However, beginning in 2004, the site will showcase the latest features about UA research on campus, making better use of the immediacy of the Web by continually updating the site with new material. The print edition will continue to be published as a glossy, high-impact compilation of the material introduced on Research Magazine Online.
